Vacancy: Private Client Department/Experienced Solicitor
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Private Client Department for an experienced Solicitor.
We are looking for someone to “hit the ground running” and this opportunity would suit someone with experience working currently in a Wills and Probate fee earning role.Willsons Solicitors can offer you:

In order to fulfil the requirements of this position the successful applicant will need to have experience in the following:
- Able to see clients take instructions for all Wills including complex Wills and LPAs, and Court of Protection matters.
- Prepare and advise on life interest Wills and advising on Variation of Wills.
- Deal with Probate matters to include applying for Probate, completing IHT forms, preparing estate accounts and distributing estate.
- Preparing and administering and advising on Trusts.
- Able to market the firm for Private client work, including hosting networking events.
- Have full STEP membership if possible.
- Be able to develop their team and have an understanding of economics and budgeting, and targets.
This position would suit a dynamic individual who consistently demonstrates a high level of initiative when dealing with clients or potential clients. We are looking for someone with a positive approach, who is a team player and has ideas to move the department forward and a strong motivation to act upon those ideas.

Salary up to £60,000.00 full time.

Vacancy: Experienced conveyancing assistant / paralegal
Position for an experienced conveyancing assistant/paralegal who seeks to train as a fee earner in an extremely busy and high pressured residential conveyancing department.
We can offer training to someone that already has knowledge of the processes and someone who may want to develop as a fully-fledged fee earner in such a department.

About Heather
Heather graduated from Coventry University before qualifying as a Solicitor a long time ago in 1989. She joined Willsons Solicitors in 1991 and has established the family law department and built from scratch the care department of the firm. In the family department Heather acts for both children and parents, foster carers and relatives in cases involving social care. She has had a number of cases heard at the Court of Appeal.
Heather undertakes all family work also acting for divorcing and separating couples involving disputes regarding their children or finances.
Heather frequently attends Court to represent her clients both in the local family Court in Nuneaton and in the County Court in Coventry or Birmingham. She has had cases in the High Court and also in the Court of Appeal regarding children matters.
Heather likes to put her clients at ease and gives a sensible overview to her clients as to the likely outcome of the case and explains clearly what the Court’s approach to their case is likely to be guiding them through the whole legal process.
Outside of work Heather is the Chair of DACS (Domestic Abuse Counselling Service), a charitable organisation offering counselling to the victims of domestic abuse in Nuneaton and Warwickshire.
Heather loves to cook and eat out and because of this is constantly battling to keep fit and loves attending the Gym and is a recent convert to Yoga.
Heather enjoys spending time with her grandchildren who also keep her active.
