Bob Willson qualified as a solicitor in 1978 and founded the firm in 1987. Bob has a wealth of experience and supervises the Residential Conveyancing Department.

He has a wealth of experience in commercial property matters and business transfers and has dealt with the sale and purchase of businesses of high value.

Bob is keen to ensure that the “nitty gritty” of every business transaction is looked into. He is keen to visit clients at their place of business so he can get an understanding of how their business operates.

His calming and reassuring manner instantly puts client at their ease.

About Heather

Heather graduated from Coventry University before qualifying as a Solicitor a long time ago in 1989. She joined Willsons Solicitors in 1991 and has established the family law department and built from scratch the care department of the firm. In the family department Heather acts for both children and parents, foster carers and relatives in cases involving social care. She has had a number of cases heard at the Court of Appeal.

Heather undertakes all family work also acting for divorcing and separating couples involving disputes regarding their children or finances.

Heather frequently attends Court to represent her clients both in the local family Court in Nuneaton and in the County Court in Coventry or Birmingham. She has had cases in the High Court and also in the Court of Appeal regarding children matters.

Heather likes to put her clients at ease and gives a sensible overview to her clients as to the likely outcome of the case and explains clearly what the Court’s approach to their case is likely to be guiding them through the whole legal process.

Outside of work Heather is the Chair of DACS (Domestic Abuse Counselling Service), a charitable organisation offering counselling to the victims of domestic abuse in Nuneaton and Warwickshire.

Heather loves to cook and eat out and because of this is constantly battling to keep fit and loves attending the Gym and is a recent convert to Yoga.

Heather enjoys spending time with her grandchildren who also keep her active.

Heather loves working as a Solicitor, loves the client contact and strives to provide the best possible service she can for her clients.

Ajmer studied Law at the University of Central England in Birmingham and then went on to work for a large national conveyancing firm before spells working in Residential and Commercial Property in Bedfordshire and Leicestershire. Ajmer joined the Commercial Department of Willsons in 2016.

Ajmer deals with various commercial property matters including freehold acquisitions and disposals, a variety of landlord and tenant matters, property refinancing and also business transfers. Ajmer is passionate about property and endeavours to understand the client’s position on every matter along with providing the best service possible.

Ajmer takes a keen interest in business development, networking and digital marketing and is always looking to increase the firm’s presence.

Away from work Ajmer enjoys reading, travelling and spending time with his family. He is a lifelong supporter of Liverpool Football Club and enjoys visiting Liverpool to watch them play when time allows.

About Annamaria

Annamaria graduated from the De Montfort University in Leicester before qualifying as a Solicitor in 1997. She has practiced law locally in Nuneaton and Bedworth since 1985 and has worked as a solicitor locally since qualifying. 

At the beginning of her career, Annamaria dealt with all aspects of family law. In recent years, Annamaria has turned her skills to private client work. Her skills from her days as a family lawyer have stood her in good stead for this, as often preparing Wills needs an understanding of family dynamics.

Annamaria is very excited about the merger, and to be a part of a dynamic busy practice headed by the senior partner Bob Willson. She is working closely with Bob in the Private Client department, preparing Wills, and dealing with Probate for clients as well as Lasting Powers Of Attorneys, which are needed by most of our clients.

Annamaria considers her strengths to be her client relationships. She has an excellent rapport with her clients and will strive to ensure that they are provided a good service that meets their needs and expectations. Annamaria offers both understanding and compassion in what can often be very difficult circumstances. The priority for her is to ensure that clients are made to feel comfortable and at ease,knowing they are in capable hands. 

Away from work, Annamaria loves nothing better than taking her spaniel Basil for long walks and spending time with her friends and family. Summer months keep her busy gardening, which she finds relaxing, and she also has a 9 hive apiary which keeps her busy. Any excuse to watch local team Leicester Tigers or any national rugby match is a bonus.

Rupa joined us in April 2019 having had over four years of experience dealing with Residential Conveyancing work, and she has a great deal of knowledge and experience in dealing with both freehold and leasehold properties but also advises clients on re-mortgages, transfers of equity, declarations of trust and other property related issues.

Rupa prides herself on her professional and efficient service and pro-active approach to ensure that transactions proceed as quickly as possible yet maintaining great attention to detail.

Rupa is also multi-lingual and she is able to communicate with clients in Gujarati, Urdu and Hindi.

Paul has over 10 years’ experience working in the Residential Conveyancing Department. He loves the detail of property transactions and having moved house a number of times himself, appreciates the stresses that can be involved.

Paul goes that extra mile to make sure his clients fully understand the position of their transaction and is realistic about timescales to achieve the desired result. Everybody wants their house purchase or sale completed yesterday and if that is not possible, Paul will explain the reasons why.

In Paul’s spare time, he enjoys keeping fit by going to the gym and spending time with family & friends.

About Lorraine

Law is Lorraine’s second career. She joined Willsons as a legal executive in November 2011 after completing her law degree and LPC at the University of Central England in Birmingham where she studied on a part-time basis whilst working full-time in a secondary school.

She qualified as a solicitor with us on 1 September 2017 and works in our litigation department which covers a range of practice areas, some of which you can read about elsewhere on our website.

Lorraine takes pride in helping her clients achieve a successful outcome, whether that be a damages award, a debt repaid or extraction from an untenable situation.

Outside of work, Lorraine enjoys travelling and hoped to return to some of her other hobbies (sewing, reading and trying to get fit!) now that she is qualified.

Manjit qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 and brings a wealth of legal experience in Litigation to Willsons. Manjit has a specialist interest in disputes involving property ownership, validity of Wills, estates and inheritance. A number of these claims have risen in the family contexts. Inheritance disputes may arise when the validity of the Will is in question and also when an individual feels someone who has died has not made enough provision in their estate for them.

Manjit has considerable expertise in Contentious Probate area of law having dealt with numerous claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and around the validity of Wills arising from matters such as undue influence, forgery and lack of testamentary capacity.

Manjit often acts in these situations for children or disabled and/or venerable adults.

Manjit has experience and has represented individuals and business in connection with large money claims, has acted for share-holders in the protection of their minority interests, for company directors facing personal claims, for partners in partnership disputes, for Claimants in professional negligence claims, for employers and employees in connection with employment claims, for Landlords and tenants of business premises and advised in all manner of insolvency and contractual disputes.

Manisha is a personable and professional Law graduate and has developed a wealth of legal experience whilst working within the public and private sector simultaneously to her studies. She joined Willsons Solictors in June 2019 having attained a First-Class Honours Degree in Law and completing her postgraduate Legal Practice Course at De Montfort University. Manisha has now commenced her Training Contract with Willsons Solictors with a focus in Corporate and Commercial Law.

In keeping with the ethos of the firm Manisha prides herself on offering a client-focused approach and strives to deliver a personal and efficient service to her clients. She is fluent and articulate in speaking English, Hindi and Punjabi.

In her spare time Manisha enjoys reading, swimming and spending time with family and friends. She has a keen interest in performing arts, music and dance and trains in Bhangra and Kathak dancing.

About Simon

Simon is an extremely experienced Solicitor, who acts mainly for children in Care Proceedings.

After obtaining his Law Degree, Simon completed his Articles with a Coventry firm and qualified as a Solicitor in 1994. Throughout his career Simon has worked in Coventry and Warwickshire, undertaking a range of family work including divorce, injunctions and children work.

In 2011, Simon became a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel, since which time he has specialised exclusively in representing children, parents and grandparents in Care Proceedings brought by a number of Local Authorities, including Coventry City Council, Warwickshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire County Councils.

Simon has been involved in extremely complex cases and always seeks to ensure that the welfare of the child is paramount throughout the Court process.

Simon has also been successful in representing many parents and grandparents during the stressful process of Care Proceedings, including where parents have been accused of harming their children.

In his spare time Simon enjoys walking his dog, going to the cinema, running and cycling (both slowly!)

About Ashlee

Ashlee undertook her undergraduate Law Degree (LLB) at The University of Warwick between 2004 and 2007 where she achieved a 2:1. Shortly after completing her Final exams she started working at Willsons Solicitors as a Court clerk. “This meant that I would go to Court to assist Counsel and watch some of the country’s leading barristers at work and I absolutely loved it. I even assisted on a leading Child care case L-A (Children) [2009] EWCA Civ 822. This is when I realised I was passionate about Family Law, particularly proceedings relating to children.”

Ashlee undertook a Legal Practice Course in 2007-2009 on a part-time basis while continuing to gain valuable experience as a Court Clerk, and from 2009 -2011 she undertook a Training Contract at Willsons Solicitors. Ashlee qualified as a solicitor in May 2011 and has been acting for Parents and Grandparents in Child Care cases ever since.

She gained accreditation to the Law Society Children’s Panel to enable her to undertake work for children that are involved in Care Proceedings, in early 2017
