Domestic Violence support during Covid-19
Government measures introduced to deal with Coronavirus (COVID-19) have drastically changed people’s daily routines and lives. It is recognised that the order to stay at home can cause anxiety and fear for those who are experiencing or feel at risk of domestic abuse.
It is essential to note that the household isolation instruction as a result of coronavirus does not apply if you need to leave your home to escape domestic abuse.
Please remember that there is help and support available to you, including police response, online support, helplines, refuges and other services.
Please see for guidance on seeking support during this time:

- Silent calls will work if you are unable to speak. Call 999 and then press 55 when prompted to use the Silent Solution system.
- You can register with the Police text service- text REGISTER to 999. You will get a text which tells you what to do next. Do this when it is safe so you can text when you are in danger.
